We’re hiring for an exciting role

 

We are looking to recruit a part-time Office Manager & Pastoral Assistant at Christ First Church.

 

Job Description: As Office Manager help manage the processes of the church and as a Pastoral Assistant work primarily on pastoral care, community outreach and evangelism.

 

Person Specification:

We are looking for a committed Christian with a strong organizational and managerial background. The candidate needs to be personable yet firm in their approach to the responsibilities and activities of others. Other requirements are:

 

  • ​A person with demonstrable experience in Christian counselling or prayer ministry

  • A member of Christ First church/willing to become a member

  • A completer finisher who is highly organised and systematic

  • A personable team player, easy to work with yet able to be firm when required

  • Good IT skills (standard Microsoft packages, basic web design etc.) and has a good eye for design (design training will be offered)

  • Good with communication, in particular, the effective use of social media

  • Committed to Sunday attendance at church and an active member of an Explore group

 

Role includes:

Ensuring the smooth running of the church by managing it’s processes, planning/scheduling, pastoral coordination and marketing/communications. The role includes that of safeguarding compliance lead and annual policy management of HSSE.

 

Evangelism and community engagement, sharing the gospel and finding ways for the church to serve and benefit the people of Watford and Croxley.

 

Oversight of the Hub (church building) in terms of maintenance requirements, housekeeping and general organisation as well as supporting the financial administrator in the hiring of the facility.

 

Support to the Eldership Team, attending meetings, or providing input to such meetings, and ensuring the smooth running of routine activities and special events.

 

      Hours:              24 Hours per week, flexible working

      Location:         Remote (home-based) and at the Hub when required (flexible)

      Salary:              Up to £15,000pa depending on the candidate
