Active
As a church we know that we have been shown incredible grace by God, and so we aim to extend that love of God to others. Active is a way to practically meet the needs of those in our community who need help, usually through home renovations, gardening and refuse removal.
When: First Saturday of each month 9am - 12pm

Xmen
Xmen is the name of our men's group, which gathers together a few times a year for different events and activities (usually revolving around food!) and to call one another to Christ-like manhood. We don't believe that Jesus was just a nice guy or some kind of hippy, but a servant king, a mighty warrior, an astounding teacher and a victorious saviour. In our times together we learn what it means to be true men of God.
Excel
Excel is the name of our women's group, which meets a few times a year for different events. We want to encourage women in the church to be fully free in their identity as daughters of the King, to be living expressions of salvation through demonstrations of care and compassion, and be a source of support and encouragement for one-another. Many key events, both biblically and in history have started with women trusting God and this group exists to help women in Christ First to do the same.
Special Sundays
Throughout the year we have a number of different Sundays that are special in some way and may include some kind of change to our usual schedule. These include Baptism Sundays, Dedication Sundays, International Sunday, Justice Sunday, Mothers Day, Fathers Day and Remembrance Sunday. On some occassions we will share a meal together as a church after the service. These meals are free and available to all. We will give advance notice of when these will be. For more information on any of these events, contact the church office.

Men's mixed-ability Football. Mondays 7:30-8:30pm. Just £3.

Every 4th Tuesday of the month at D20 cafe. 7-10pm. Just £3.
Charities we support
International Justice Mission
IJM exists to rescue thousands, protect millions and prove that justice for the poor is possible. We help by raising money and awareness about the issue of modern day slavery.
Sunshine Rehabiliation Centre (Kenya)
Giving young Kenyan boys hope by providing food, shelter and education that they wouldn't get otherwise. We support the centre in various ways including occassional visits.
New Hope
New Hope is a Watford-based charity that exists to serve individuals who are homeless or vulnerably-housed through the provision of accommodation and opportunities to transform lives.
Wycliffe Bible Translators
Working hard so that every people group can hear God speak to them through His word in a language that they understand. 1.5 billion people are still waiting for a bible in a language that speaks to them best.
